The Federated Church of Brookston was founded in 1919 with the Union Baptist Church and the First Presbyterian Church voted to become one congregation “in order to better fulfill their common mission in the community, to conserve the resources of the Kingdom of God, and to promote the unity of His disciples.” Ninety-five years later, the members of the Federated Church are still guided by this original goal as they proclaim the Gospel with joy and expectation.

We are affiliated with the American Baptist Church and the United Presbyterian Church (USA), participating actively in the work of both denominations. Pastors are called from both denominations on an alternating bases. Open Communion is practiced and Baptism is observed by either immersion or sprinkling.
